IMPORTANT CHANGES FOR THE GARDEN
The Core Group announced, at the July shareholder celebration, Farmer Kris's decision to make this his
last season with the Community Supported Garden at La Vista. During the three years Kris has farmed for us there have been several exciting developments including the implementation of Spring Greens, an irrigation
system and this year, the apprentice program. The Core Group appreciates Kris's leadership and assistance with these improvements for our Garden.
Kris has assured us that he plans to remain through the end
of the year and will assist in the recruitment and hiring of a new executive farmer. Kris intends to help make the transition as smooth as possible, and we hope to have our new farmer hired in time to work with Kris
for several weeks. The Core Group will keep our shareholders informed on how the hiring process is proceeding.
We need some volunteers to work with the Core Group and Farmer Kris in the recruitment and
hiring of a new farmer. If you are interested in helping with this important process, please contact Father Maurice at 618-466-5004.
